New Delhi, June 17 (NationPress) Inter Kashi has successfully secured three points after their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as announced by the club amidst the ongoing controversies of the I-League 2024-25 season.

In addition to the three points, CAS has ordered the All India Football Federation to pay two thousand Swiss francs (approximately Rs 2.12 lakh) to Inter Kashi, while Churchill Brothers and Namdhari FC are required to compensate one thousand Swiss francs (approximately Rs 1.06 lakh) to the Uttar Pradesh club.

The incident occurred during Match 45 of the league, where Namdhari FC defeated Inter Kashi 2-0. The AIFF disciplinary committee had initially awarded three points to Kashi after it was revealed that Namdhari fielded an ineligible player during their match.

Namdhari later appealed successfully to the AIFF's appeal committee, and as a result, Churchill Brothers were declared the champions of the I-League 2024-25 after being recognized as provisional winners by the AIFF's Appeals Committee on April 19. Subsequently, Inter Kashi announced their intention to appeal to CAS.

"Inter Kashi appreciates the decision made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the arbitration case registered as CAS 2025/A/11374."

"The CAS ruling reverses the earlier point deduction imposed by the AIFF Appeal Committee concerning our match against Namdhari. The order is self-explanatory, and we refrain from further comments on the issue at this moment.

"We express our heartfelt gratitude to our fans and supporters for their steadfast backing throughout this process," the club's statement added.

Inter Kashi now holds 39 points after 22 matches. However, the championship title remains uncertain as they await the outcome of another CAS appeal that could potentially declare them champions.
