Despite Jadeja's commendable effort of scoring 61 not out off 181 balls on the final day, marking his fourth consecutive fifty in Tests, India faced a narrow defeat by 22 runs and now trails 2-1 in the five-match series against England.
“What a phenomenal display of determination! Jadeja’s fight was nothing short of brilliant,” Gambhir remarked in a video shared on bcci.tv on Friday.
Jadeja displayed immense resilience while keeping India in contention for a challenging target of 190. Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj praised him, stating, “As a team player, Jaddu bhai excels in fielding, bowling, and batting. His batting has improved significantly; he consistently contributes runs in crucial situations. Such a player is rare, and we are fortunate to have him.”

With his wealth of experience, he brings what the team needs in challenging situations. His value to the team is immense,” he stated.
