This victory ensured their progression into the semi-finals, which are set for September 27 at the same ground.
From the very first chukker, Jaipur took control of the game, with HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur and Lance Watson spearheading the attack. Padmanabh Singh shone with five goals, continuing his excellent form this season. Watson, known for his reliability, contributed two goals, while Angad Kalaan completed a well-rounded team performance with three goals.
On the other hand, Kr. Pratap Singh Kanota from Navy Kanota emerged as a key player, netting four of their five goals, but his efforts fell short against a strong Jaipur team.
This result highlighted Jaipur's offensive strategy and their capacity to deliver exciting, goal-filled encounters for the audience.
Next, they will compete against the All Stars Polo Team by Suhana in the semi-finals on Saturday, September 27.
Earlier, the Jaipur Polo Team achieved a thrilling win, narrowly overcoming the Aravali Polo Team with a score of 6-5 in a nail-biting finish during the fifth chukker. In this fiercely contested match, both teams exhibited tenacity and skill, concluding the first four chukkers tied at 5-5.
The audience was kept on the edge of their seats as every goal was hard-fought, with the Aravali Polo Team’s Juan Martin Juri, Hurr Ali, and Kr Kuldeep Singh Rathore defending stoutly against Jaipur’s dynamic duo of HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Lance Watson.
Team captain Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, who scored two goals and was honored as the ‘Icon of India’ by The Leela last year, played a pivotal role in the victory. Meanwhile, Angad Kalaan contributed a single goal for Jaipur.
