Mumbai, March 26 (NationPress) Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal FC both achieved consecutive victories against Kickstart FC Karnataka and Diamond Harbour FC respectively, in their Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2024-25 National Group Stage at the Reliance Corporate Park here on Wednesday.
Jamshedpur FC dominated Kickstart FC Karnataka with a score of 4-0 in their second match of the RFDL National Group Stage.
The Red Miners took an early lead, just five minutes into the match and maintained their advantage. Lawmsangzuala was fouled inside the box by Kickstart goalkeeper Shijin S., leading the referee to award a penalty.
Shijin also received a yellow card for his reckless challenge on the Jamshedpur FC forward. Amzard Khan confidently converted the penalty, scoring to make it 1-0.
Lawmsangzuala continued to put pressure on the Kickstart FC defense, assisting in his team's second goal. He made a precise pass to a sprinting Bivan Jyoti Laskar, who deftly slotted it past the goalkeeper in the 30th minute, doubling Jamshedpur FC’s lead.
To further extend their lead, Bivan Jyoti Laskar netted another goal in the 42nd minute. His attempted cross inside the box surprised Kickstart goalkeeper, finding the top left corner and increasing the score to 3-0.
In the 45th minute, Saikhom Borish Singh missed a crucial chance to score for Kickstart as both teams headed into halftime with Jamshedpur FC in the lead. After an hour, Bivan Jyoti Laskar dribbled through the Kickstart FC defense and completed his hat-trick, sealing a significant win.
Meanwhile, East Bengal delivered a commanding performance against their Kolkata rivals Diamond Harbour, maintaining their unbeaten streak in the current season.
