Bengaluru, Aug 6 (NationPress) The final day of group stage competitions in the 51st Junior Waterpolo Championship 2025, held at the Basavangudi Aquatic Centre, showcased a thrilling finish as hosts Karnataka, along with Bengal, Kerala, and Maharashtra, secured their spots in the semi-finals for the boys' category. On the girls' side, the semi-finalists included Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, and Maharashtra.
The day began with Karnataka overpowering Odisha with a score of 15-5. Chinmay Pai emerged as the standout player, netting 7 goals, while Surya Chandra added 3 goals. Contributions came from Pavan Mohan and Jayanth L Reddy, each scoring twice, and Nihar Rajesh with one goal. For Odisha, Pradip Padiami was the top scorer with 3 goals.
