New Delhi, July 20 (NationPress) Former Mumbai wicketkeeper Sulakshan Kulkarni has been appointed as the deputy head coach of the Oman men's national cricket team.

“We’re excited to announce that Sulakshan Kulkarni has joined us as the Deputy Head Coach of the Oman Men’s National Team! His extensive background in both domestic and international cricket coaching adds significant value to our team as we gear up for the forthcoming global challenges,” Oman Cricket stated on X.

In his new role, he will assist the team in their quest for qualification for the 2026 T20 World Cup, which is set to occur in India and Sri Lanka in February and March of the following year. His tenure with the team will kick off during the T20 World Cup Qualifiers, which Oman will host from October 8 to 18.

Duleep Mendis, a former wicketkeeper-batter for Sri Lanka, will serve as the head coach for the Oman national cricket team.
