The 25-year-old is recognized as one of the most thrilling fast bowling talents in English domestic cricket, following a series of remarkable displays for both Gloucestershire and the England Lions.
He began his professional journey at Hampshire, making his First-Class debut in 2020, before transitioning to Gloucestershire in 2022, where he made his debut in both white-ball formats during the same season.
In his 37 First-Class matches, Dale, known for his speed and swing bowling capabilities, has taken 87 wickets. Additionally, in 15 matches within the T20 Blast, he has secured 18 wickets at an average of 27.
This summer has been his most productive yet, with 25 wickets in the County Championship. He was selected by the England Lions and made his debut against India A at Canterbury.
In regard to his move to Old Trafford, Dale expressed, "I am incredibly excited to be joining Lancashire and cannot wait to begin my journey with the club in November. Lancashire has a remarkably strong squad that competes across all formats, and I am eager to challenge myself in this new environment while helping this prestigious club achieve success.
“I have heard fantastic things about the facilities and setup at Old Trafford, and I am confident it’s the perfect place for me to advance my career with the Red Rose.”
Mark Chilton, the Director of Cricket Performance, also shared his thoughts on the signing. "We are delighted to have secured Ajeet's services ahead of the 2026 season. He is an exciting young fast bowler with genuine pace and a strong desire to develop and enhance his skills.
