New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and former Brazilian World Cup hero, FIFA legend Gilberto D’Silva, showcased the FIFA World Cup trophy on Saturday.

The prestigious trophy made its return to India after a span of 12 years as part of its worldwide Trophy Tour, in anticipation of the forthcoming 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup. It will be available for fans to view in Delhi for an additional two days before heading to Guwahati for one day.

During the event, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya remarked, “Under the visionary guidance of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, sports has become a national priority. We are steadfast in our belief that sports serve as a crucial tool for fostering discipline, confidence, and character among the youth. The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour aligns perfectly with our goal of placing India among the top five sporting nations by 2047.
