Marcus Harris and Xavier Crone Join the Melbourne Renegades for BBL 14

Melbourne, December 10 (NationPress) The Melbourne Renegades have secured the services of Victorian talents Marcus Harris and Xavier Crone in preparation for BBL 14.
Harris, an experienced opener with international credentials, is set to rejoin the Renegades after being part of their BBL 8 championship-winning squad.
This domestic season, Harris has shown outstanding form. He started the campaign for Victoria with a half-century in the One-Day Cup opener, followed by a century and another fifty in the Sheffield Shield.
"It’s fantastic to be back with the Renegades. I’m excited about Whitey (Cameron White) taking the helm and the squad the club has assembled. I’m eager to return to where I’ve enjoyed most of my BBL experiences," Harris stated in a press release from the club on Tuesday.
Crone, an emerging fast bowler, returns to the Big Bash after impressive performances for Victoria. His summer has been remarkable, claiming 15 wickets at the Shield level and contributing a crucial half-century in his first red-ball match of the season.
"I’m thrilled to have this chance with the Renegades. I feel fully prepared this year to dive in and make an impact. I can’t wait to be part of this season," Crone expressed.
James Rosengarten, the General Manager of Melbourne Renegades, welcomed the new signings, emphasizing their potential contributions.
"Marcus is a world-class batsman who offers a wealth of experience and a composed demeanor at the crease. Xavier is a promising talent with the capability to significantly impact the game with both bat and ball, and we are eager to see him excel in the Big Bash setting," Rosengarten remarked.
Both Harris and Crone made significant contributions for the Renegades during the Top End T20 tournament in Darwin back in August. The Renegades will kick off their campaign on December 16, with both players expected to play crucial roles in the team’s pursuit of success.
