New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) Modern School Barakhamba Road has been honored as the champions of the DC School Cup 2025 in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. The girls triumphed over DPS RK Puram by a commanding 133 runs, while the boys secured their victory against St. Thomas School by 57 runs, marking a successful finale to the tournament.

A total of 16 schools participated in the boys’ segment, with four schools competing in the girls’ event, showcasing weeks of thrilling cricket. Through this initiative, Delhi Capitals has made a significant contribution to the cricketing landscape in Delhi, inspiring future champions.

The DC School Cup, which is Delhi Capitals’ premier inter-school T20 tournament, celebrated the city’s sporting spirit while uncovering emerging talent under the supervision of BCCI-qualified officials. The matches were held at prestigious venues such as the Arun Jaitley Stadium and GMR ground, equipped with professional kits and match-day setups.

In the girls’ final, Modern School Barakhamba Road triumphed over DPS RK Puram, posting a formidable total of 240/2. Opener Myra Rewal scored 83 runs off 53 balls, while captain Kashvi Kumar delivered an impressive 118 runs off 62 balls. Despite a strong effort from Vaibhavi Dudeja, who scored 75* off 63 balls, DPS managed only 107/3.

In the boys’ final, Modern School Barakhamba Road secured victory against St. Thomas School with a total of 215/5. Tanmay Chaudhary shone with a score of 118 off 65 balls, supported by Varun Sharma, who made 76 off 41 balls. The team restricted St. Thomas to 158/8, with Grihith Gumber taking 3 wickets for 43 runs.
