Mohamed Salah Recognized as Premier League Player of the Month for November

Liverpool, Dec 13 (NationPress) Mohamed Salah has been recognized as the Premier League's Player of the Month for November after the Egyptian played a crucial role in helping the team navigate through challenging fixtures.

This marks the sixth occasion on which the Egyptian has received the Premier League Player of the Month honor (previously in November 2017, February 2018, March 2018, October 2021, and October 2023). Having last won the award in October 2023, Salah is now tied with Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard and former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo. He is just one victory away from equaling the record held by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero, who have both claimed the award more than any other players in Premier League history.

Liverpool's No.11 secured the accolade after an impressive month where he guided the Reds to three victories in the top flight. Salah netted four goals and provided an assist throughout November's matches, helping Arne Slot's squad gain a lead at the top of the league table.

He first found the net in a winning effort against Brighton & Hove Albion, contributing to a 2-1 victory at Anfield, followed by a decisive goal in the 2-0 triumph over Aston Villa, where he also assisted Darwin Nunez's opening goal.

Salah concluded the month with a stellar performance in the Reds' 3-2 comeback win at Southampton, scoring a crucial brace to secure three points on the south coast.

He topped an eight-man shortlist that featured Matheus Cunha (Wolves), Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd), Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), Joao Pedro (Brighton), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), and Yoane Wissa (Brentford).

As December commenced, Salah has already made an impact with three goals and two assists in two matches, including a thrilling 3-3 draw with Newcastle United and a 2-0 victory against Manchester City. He is set to return to action when Liverpool takes on Fulham this Saturday.
