Newcastle, April 18 (NationPress) Jason Tindall emphasizes that Newcastle United can count on the in-form Jacob Murphy after the winger netted his ninth goal and 13th assist of the season during Wednesday's 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

The Magpies are set to face Aston Villa on Saturday, riding high on a streak of six consecutive wins - a form surge that has propelled them to third place in the Premier League standings, with Murphy's exceptional performance being a key factor in United's quest for Champions League qualification.

Assistant head coach Tindall, who is once again filling in for Howe at the media briefing, along with Graeme Jones, will manage the team at Villa Park this weekend as Howe continues his recovery from pneumonia.

"Full credit goes to Jacob. He has been with the club for a significant time, and I believe if he had been signed at the beginning of the season or in January, he would be receiving far more recognition than he currently is.

"His performances do not surprise me or the manager. He puts in tremendous effort every day and consistently proves that we can depend on him week after week," Tindall stated during the pre-match press conference.

Tindall also praised the attitude displayed by players like Harvey Barnes, who patiently awaited his chance and seized it by scoring twice against Manchester United on Sunday and adding another goal against Crystal Palace.

"It's a testament to all the players who were not starting games for a while - they step up and deliver strong performances, but that can only happen with the right mindset in your daily work, consistency, mental resilience, and dealing with frustrations appropriately.

"Harvey has certainly demonstrated that since joining the team. He has provided outstanding individual performances, as well as contributing to the team's success," he added.
