New Delhi, March 21 (NationPress) The talented pair of John Parry from England and Daniel Hillier from New Zealand have officially announced their participation in the 2025 Indian Open, scheduled to take place from March 27 to 30 at the DLF Golf and Country Club.
This prestigious tournament, endorsed by the DP World Tour and the Indian Golf Union, will feature a total of 138 golfers hailing from nearly 30 nations, all vying for a share of the USD 2.25 million prize pool.
Both Parry and Hillier are enjoying an exceptional season, currently ranking in the Top-5 of the Race to Dubai on the DP World Tour.
Parry, now placed 3rd in the Race to Dubai rankings, already boasts a title in India, having triumphed at the Delhi Challenge on the Hotelplanner Tour last year. Following this victory, he secured two additional wins on the Hotelplanner Tour and achieved his first victory on the DP World Tour in 14 years at the Mauritius Open.
The 2025 season got off to a fantastic start for him with a T-8 finish in the Australian PGA, a T-2 in the Alfred Dunhill in South Africa, and a win in Mauritius, followed by a runner-up position in Kenya.
Another standout participant in the Indian Open is the 25-year-old Hillier, who finished as the runner-up at the 2025 Dubai Desert Classic. He has consistently placed in the Top-20 in events across Australia, South Africa, Bahrain, and Qatar, currently sitting at No. 5 in the Race to Dubai standings.
Among the other prominent players currently competing in the Race to Dubai are three additional tournament winners this season: Johannes Veerman (No. 8, winner of the Nedbank Golf Challenge), Callum Hill (No. 11, winner of the Joburg Open), and Ryggs Johnston (No. 14, victor of the ISPS Handa Australian Open). Also joining the field is Jayden Schaper, ranked No. 15 in the latest standings.
The Indian Open is a key event in the Asian Swing, which began in Singapore and concludes with two tournaments in China. The winner of the Asian Swing will earn exemption into the upcoming Rolex event, the Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour.
Additionally, all DP World Tour participants gain valuable points towards the Race to Dubai, where the Top-10 players who are not already exempt from the PGA Tour will receive dual membership for the following year.
The 2025 Indian Open promises to showcase one of the strongest fields in its history, featuring 16 winners from both the previous and current seasons of the DP World Tour. Twelve champions from the 2024 DPWT season will be joined by four winners from the 2025 season, all of whom will be serious contenders for the trophy on March 30.
