Pune, Dec 15 (NationPress) In a touching show of camaraderie and celebration, Dabang Delhi K.C. dedicated their latest win against the Haryana Steelers to their captain and star player Naveen Kumar's newborn son.
Head coach Joginder Narwal shared the heartfelt story behind their triumph, underscoring how personal milestones can ignite athletic prowess.
"Yesterday we received very good news when we were together. Naveen was initially going to leave, but due to a flight cancellation and the match against Haryana Steelers, he stated, 'No sir, I will play today, and then I will go.' When we received the news, he cut a cake. The entire team celebrated, and this victory is for our son, the junior express,” Narwal disclosed.
The clash against the top-ranked team was far from straightforward. Following a slow beginning, they ramped up their performance spearheaded by Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar, as the squad demonstrated incredible resilience and tactical gameplay.
Joginder highlighted their readiness and motivation. “We arrived with a strategy, and we executed it effectively. Our defence was outstanding, enabling us to conquer the table-toppers.
"We understood each player’s strengths. We made slight adjustments to our strategy, emphasizing defence. Although we lagged behind initially, we know how to stage a comeback.
“In this league, all teams are on equal footing. Whether at the top or the bottom of the table, each match holds significant importance,” he added.
As the playoffs approach and more matches loom, including an upcoming encounter against the Bengal Warriorz, the team remains determined and hopeful. Their recent victory, dedicated to Naveen Kumar's newborn son, embodies the perfect blend of personal joy and professional success.
