PKL Season 11: Dabang Delhi Clinches Playoff Spot with Dominant 22-Point Victory Against Bengal Warriorz

Pune, Dec 16 (NationPress) Dabang Delhi K.C. firmly established their playoff position in Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) with a resounding 47-25 triumph over Bengal Warriorz at the Badminton Hall of the Balewadi Sports Complex on Monday. Star raider Ashu Malik (17 points) showcased another stellar performance to propel Joginder Narwal’s squad, marking them as the second team to secure a spot in the top six.

With this victory, Dabang Delhi K.C. became the first franchise to qualify for the playoffs for six consecutive seasons, also tying the record for the longest unbeaten run in a single PKL season, having remained undefeated across 13 matches.

Despite the strong tackling efforts from the Bengal Warriorz, led by Sultan Fazel Atrachali, they could not contain Ashu Malik, who was in exceptional form. He capitalized on a mistake from Nitesh Kumar to kick off his scoring and soon earned a bonus and a touchpoint, giving his team an early upper hand.

However, Siddhesh Tatkare managed to send the raider off with a well-timed dash. Naveen Kumar also made his mark with a successful raid against Mayur Kadam, but Fazel countered with a strategic dash, keeping his team in contention.

In a crucial do-or-die raid, Ashu Malik demonstrated his prowess with a Super Raid, taking out nearly all of Bengal Warriorz’ players, leaving only one on the mat. Mayur Kadam, Pranay Rane, Nitesh Kumar, and Fazel Atrachali were all sidelined as a result.

Following this, Aditya Shinde was tackled by Yogesh, leading to the first all-out of the match against Bengal Warriorz. This marked the onset of a comprehensive defeat, as Ashu Malik completed his Super 10 in just 16 minutes. By halftime, Dabang Delhi K.C. had a commanding lead of 26-9.

The second half began with another all-out against Bengal Warriorz, maintaining the match’s momentum. Yet, Nitesh Kumar managed to tackle Ashu Malik, briefly igniting hope for his team.

Ultimately, it was not enough, as Dabang Delhi K.C. cruised to victory. While Ashu led the raiding efforts, the defense was effectively coordinated by Yogesh, who earned his High 5 with a tackle on Pranay Rane during a do-or-die raid. The match concluded with an impressive 22-point margin over Bengal Warriorz, who were subsequently eliminated from playoff contention.
