Pune, Dec 14 (NationPress) The dynamic raiding combination of Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik stole the spotlight once more as Dabang Delhi K.C. clinched a significant 44-37 win over the Haryana Steelers during a Season 11 match of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the Badminton Hall located in the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Saturday.

Ashu concluded the match with an impressive tally of 15 points, while Naveen Kumar contributed seven points. Among the defensive players, Ashish Narwal added five points, enabling Dabang Delhi K.C. to ascend to the second position on the points table.

The Haryana Steelers initiated the game with vigor, as young raider Shivam Patare successfully executed five raids, granting the PKL 10 finalists an early advantage. He received robust support from all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui, who secured two raid points and later tackled Naveen Kumar, resulting in the first ALL OUT of the match against Dabang Delhi K.C. in the seventh minute.

However, on the opposing side, Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar rediscovered their rhythm, pushing back as the match began to favor the Haryana Steelers. By the conclusion of the first half, the Season 8 champions made a strong comeback.

Yogesh spearheaded their defensive strategy, successfully preventing Shivam from scoring during a Do-Or-Die raid, while Ashu Malik and Naveen maintained offensive pressure. At half-time, an All Out was executed against the Haryana Steelers, with Dabang Delhi K.C. leading by a narrow margin of 20-18.

The pressure on the Haryana Steelers continued to escalate, particularly after Dabang Delhi K.C. enforced a second All Out on the team coached by Manpreet Singh. It took Dabang Delhi K.C. a mere three minutes into the second half to extend their lead to seven points.

With a solid advantage in hand, Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar executed their strategy flawlessly. A third All Out loomed against the Haryana Steelers with only six minutes remaining in the game. Ashu Malik achieved his 15th Super 10 of the season and reached a remarkable milestone of 200 raid points in PKL 11, as his team overcame the table-toppers by nine points, extending their unbeaten streak to 12 matches.
