Dabang Delhi Triumphs Over Puneri Paltan with a Nail-Biting 30-26 Victory in PKL Season 11

Pune, Dec 9 (NationPress) Ashu Malik once again shone brightly for Dabang Delhi K.C. as they clinched a narrow victory of 30-26 against the reigning champions Puneri Paltan in Match 102 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11, held at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi Stadium on Monday.
Ashu Malik emerged as the top scorer for Dabang Delhi, amassing 13 points and achieving his 14th Super 10 of the season, propelling his team to the fourth position on the points table.
The match commenced with both Dabang Delhi and Puneri Paltan displaying equal prowess, but Ashu Malik quickly demonstrated his skills by putting his team ahead. Despite the defensive strength of the Puneri Paltan, each of their attempts was met with a robust counter from Dabang Delhi K.C.
The cautious strategies of both teams resulted in several Do-Or-Die raids. As the first half concluded, the less effective raiding from the Puneri Paltan was evident, with Akash Shinde being successfully tackled by Yogesh. Mohit Goyat tried to rally his team, but without much support, the score stood at 12-10 in favor of Dabang Delhi K.C.
As the second half kicked off, a spectacular Super Raid from the season's top raider, Ashu Malik, eliminated Gaurav Khatri, Pankaj Mohite, Mohit Goyat, Sanket Sawant, and Aman from the mat, leaving Puneri Paltan with only two players on the field.
The defending champions fought hard to regain control of the match, with a Super Tackle by Abinesh Nadarajan taking down Ashu Malik, followed by Akash Shinde's successful raid on Yogesh, balancing the scales after Ashu's five-point raid. Pankaj Mohite then tackled Gaurav Chillar, while Mohit Goyat brought down Naveen Kumar, applying pressure on the PKL Season 8 champions.
As the game neared its conclusion, Ashu Malik secured his Super 10 with a running hand touch to send Abinesh Nadarajan to the bench. However, Puneri Paltan responded effectively, managing to level the score at 21-21 with just six minutes left after Aman successfully tackled Ashu Malik, marking their 12th tackle point of the evening.
With both teams locked at 21-21, a critical moment arose when Dadaso Pujari and Aman inadvertently stepped into the lobby and out of bounds, yielding two points to Dabang Delhi. Ashu Malik then executed another brilliant maneuver, taking down Pankaj Mohite and Mohit Goyat, leaving Akash Shinde as the lone player from the Puneri Paltan.
In the final two minutes, Akash Shinde was tackled, allowing Dabang Delhi K.C. to inflict the match's first ALL OUT on Puneri Paltan. Under the guidance of coach Joginder Narwal, Dabang Delhi ultimately emerged victorious in an intensely contested match right to the end.
