PKL 11: Pawan Sehrawat Leads Telugu Titans to Victory Over Gujarat Giants, Approaching Playoff Qualification

Pune, Dec 14 (NationPress) The Telugu Titans, captained by Pawan Sehrawat, made a stunning comeback after trailing by nine points at one point, decisively defeating the Gujarat Giants in a Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 match at the Badminton Hall in the Balewadi Sports Complex on Saturday.
The Titans secured a 36-32 victory, bringing them closer to playoff qualification. Pawan Sehrawat was instrumental, scoring 12 points, while Vijay Malik contributed 8 points and Ashish Narwal added 6 points to the team's success. For the Giants, Rakesh also scored 12 points, and Guman Singh garnered 9 points.
The match began with the Gujarat Giants taking an early lead, successfully taking down Pawan Sehrawat and Vijay Malik in the initial plays. Although the Titans faced some pressure, their star raiders quickly returned to the mat, allowing them to reclaim the advantage within the first five minutes.
Ashish Narwal spearheaded the attack for the Titans, constantly applying pressure on their rivals. The Giants' defense initially managed to contain Sehrawat, while Guman and Rakesh executed crucial raids. Just before halftime, the Giants executed an All Out, ending the first half with a 6-point lead, concluding the half with a score of 18-11.
In the second half, the Giants maintained their stronghold, further extending their lead while keeping Sehrawat under control. The defensive duo of Neeraj and Manuj from the Giants performed exceptionally, alongside Guman Singh and Rakesh. However, around the 30-minute mark, Sehrawat shifted gears and delivered a series of pivotal raids that changed the game's momentum.
Shortly after, the Telugu Titans executed an All Out on the Giants, erasing the deficit and placing the Giants under immense pressure as the Titans ramped up their intensity, particularly under the leadership of Sehrawat. With five minutes remaining, the dynamic player registered his Super 10, propelling the Telugu Titans into a five-point lead.
The Titans soon completed a second All Out against the Giants, ultimately securing a significant victory.
