PKL Season 11: Arjun Deshwal Steers Jaipur Pink Panthers to Victory Over Gujarat Giants 42-29

Pune, December 10 (NationPress) Arjun Deshwal once again showcased his prowess as the captain of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, clinching a vital win in their quest for the playoffs with a score of 42-29 against the Gujarat Giants in Match 103 of Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi Stadium on Tuesday.

Deshwal was the standout performer, contributing 13 points, while Neeraj Narwal's eight points and Ankush Rathee's impressive High 5 were pivotal to the team's success.

The match began at a brisk pace, with the Jaipur Pink Panthers quickly establishing a lead over the Gujarat Giants. In the initial moments, Neeraj Narwal outmaneuvered Mohammad Nabibakhsh, and then Neeraj Kumar squandered a Super Tackle chance against Deshwal. This led to the first All Out inflicted on the Gujarat Giants after Rohit failed to tackle Neeraj Narwal.

This moment set the tone for the match, as the Jaipur Pink Panthers maintained dominance throughout. Ankush Rathee made a bold move against Rakesh, and although the Gujarat Giants managed a few successful raids thanks to bonus points, the Panthers executed a second All Out against the Giants before halftime, leading 27-16.

The second half mirrored the first, with Guman Singh and Rakesh attempting to rally for the Gujarat Giants, but their defense struggled against the offensive prowess of Deshwal and Narwal. Guman did manage a Super Raid that took down Ankush Rathee, Surjeet Singh, and Abhishek KS, but it fell short as the Jaipur Pink Panthers surged toward victory.

Deshwal achieved a well-deserved Super 10, while Rathee secured his second High 5 of the season. For the Gujarat Giants, both Guman Singh and Rakesh contributed nine points each, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Jaipur Pink Panthers from claiming a commanding 13-point victory, propelling them into sixth place as they continue to vie for a playoff position.
