PKL 11: Tamil Thalaivas Clinch Dominant Victory Against Bengal Warriorz with Help from Moein Shafaghi and Himanshu

Pune, Dec 18 (NationPress) Moein Shafaghi and Himanshu showcased exceptional skills, guiding Tamil Thalaivas to a commanding victory over Bengal Warriorz from the very beginning in a Season 11 encounter of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) held at the Badminton Hall in the Balewadi Sports Complex on Wednesday. The Tamil Thalaivas achieved their first half-century of the season, defeating their opponents with a score of 60-29.

In this match, Shafaghi and Himanshu both achieved Super 10s, scoring 13 points each, while defenders Nitesh Kumar (7 points) and Amir Hossein Bastami (4 points) also contributed significantly. For the Bengal Warriorz, Manjeet scored seven points and Chia Ming from Chinese Taipei added four points.

The Tamil Thalaivas started the match with great energy, with Shafaghi spearheading the initial attacks. Their defense quickly established dominance, thwarting early attempts by Maninder Singh. Despite the Bengal Warriorz's efforts to keep pace, they struggled to close the gap.

As the first half progressed, the Tamil Thalaivas maintained a solid lead, even as Manjeet and Pranay Rane fought valiantly for their side. At the ten-minute mark, Sai Prasad executed a remarkable 4-point raid, extending the Tamil Thalaivas' lead to seven points, which was followed by an All Out, leaving the Bengal Warriorz trailing by 10 points.

The Thalaivas intensified their efforts, with Shafaghi causing significant trouble for their rivals. Manjeet achieved his High-5 as the Bengal Warriorz sought to narrow the gap before halftime. However, the Tamil Thalaivas concluded the first half with a 25-13 advantage.

In the second half, the Tamil Thalaivas continued their strong performance. Although the Bengal Warriorz introduced Chia Ming, it had little effect on the unstoppable Tamil side. Five minutes into the second half, the Thalaivas executed another All Out, boosting their lead to 16 points. Shortly after, Shafaghi completed his Super 10 with a multi-point raid.

At the 30-minute mark, the Tamil Thalaivas led by 20 points, with all players contributing effectively. Himanshu and the Tamil Thalaivas inflicted a third All Out on the Bengal Warriorz, who were facing a significant defeat.

With just four minutes remaining, the Tamil Thalaivas reached a milestone by scoring their half-century for the first time this season, followed by another All Out against the Bengal Warriorz. Ultimately, the Tamil Thalaivas celebrated their best win of the season.
