PKL Season 11: Puneri Paltan Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive with Dominant Win Over Bengaluru Bulls

Pune, Dec 13 (NationPress) The reigning champions, Puneri Paltan, returned to form with an impressive victory, demolishing Bengaluru Bulls 56-18, marking a significant 38-point difference and standing as the third-largest victory by points in Match 110 of Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the Badminton Hall of the Balewadi Sports Complex on Friday night.

With this triumph, Puneri Paltan snapped their losing streak of three matches, thanks to the contributions of raiders Akash Shinde and Mohit Goyat, who both scored eight points. In defense, Gaurav Khatri and Aman achieved well-deserved High 5s for their team.

Initially, the match seemed evenly matched, but within just eight minutes, Puneri Paltan executed the first All Out on Bengaluru Bulls. This early breakthrough provided a solid foundation for the defending champions to dominate the game. Akash Shinde spearheaded the offensive for Puneri Paltan, leaving Bengaluru Bulls struggling to counter his exceptional raiding skills. The defensive lineup of Puneri Paltan was equally formidable, with Mohit Goyat executing an ankle hold to capture Jatin, following a combined tackle of Pardeep Narwal by Gaurav Khatri and Pankaj Mohite.

With Nitin Rawal sidelined, the defense of Bengaluru Bulls appeared weak. Pankaj Mohite easily touched Parteek, leaving only Lucky Kumar on the mat, who was swiftly taken out by Mohit Goyat in the next play, leading to another All Out against Bengaluru Bulls. By halftime, the score was a staggering 26-7 in favor of Puneri Paltan.

Struggling in every aspect, the Bengaluru Bulls faced a third All Out after Gaurav Khatri tackled the 'Dubki King'. Khatri then completed his High 5 with a successful maneuver against Pankaj, as Puneri Paltan continued their onslaught against the PKL 6 champions.

After 25 minutes, Bengaluru Bulls managed a super tackle when Mohit Goyat was captured by Nitin Rawal. However, they were still trailing by 25 points, while Puneri Paltan showed no signs of halting their scoring spree.

The fourth All Out struck Bengaluru Bulls as Puneri Paltan surged towards victory. Aman joined Gaurav Khatri in the High 5 tally, with Bengaluru Bulls failing to find a way to counter the aggression of the defending champions.

As the match drew to a close, substitute Aryavardhan Navale executed a remarkable Super Raid, scoring five points and extending the score difference to 38 points, ensuring that the home team bounced back after three losses and stayed in the playoff contention.
