PKL 11: Puneri Paltan Set to Conclude Season with a Nod to Their Supporters

Pune, Dec 22 (NationPress) The reigning champions of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Puneri Paltan, have encountered a season that falls short of their expectations. Nevertheless, while playing on their home ground during the third leg of season 11, they have successfully entertained their fans and are eager to do so once again as they prepare to challenge the Tamil Thalaivas in their final match on Monday.
Puneri Paltan's hopes for a playoff spot were dashed when the Jaipur Pink Panthers triumphed over the Bengal Warriorz, just prior to their match against the Telugu Titans. However, captain Akash Shinde is focusing on the positive aspects of the season. He stated, “One of the highlights for the Puneri Paltan this season is the impressive performance of our young players. This has motivated the senior players as well.”
It is entirely understandable that Puneri Paltan wants to conclude the season on a triumphant note. When asked about the significance of the final game, Shinde remarked, “It’s crucial for us to present the victory as a gift to the fans of Puneri Paltan. The affection we receive from our fans inspires us on the field. Our young players showed great promise today, and we anticipate they will replicate that performance in the final match.”
Assistant coach Ajay Thakur also conveyed a clear message to the team regarding their last game. He mentioned, “Our journey in the PKL culminates with the league phase, and in our concluding match, we will compete for the Puneri Paltan, our fans, and everyone who has supported us throughout the season. We will approach the game against Tamil Thalaivas with utmost seriousness and preparation. Our goal is to wrap up the season on a high note and cherish memorable victories.”
“The fans in Pune are extraordinary, and despite our challenges this season, they have consistently filled the stadium to show their unwavering support. It’s heartening to see our team receiving such encouragement from the fans,” the assistant coach concluded.
