Premier League: Arteta Acknowledges Amorim's Impact Ahead of Arsenal vs Man Utd Face-Off

London, Dec 3 (NationPress) Ruben Amorim will be confronting his inaugural significant challenge as Manchester United manager when the Red Devils face Arsenal this Thursday (IST). Since joining the Manchester club in November, Amorim has overseen three matches, securing two victories including a commanding 4-0 win against Everton on Sunday. Arsenal's head coach, Mikel Arteta, commended the Portuguese manager, stating that the upcoming match against Manchester United promises to be a ‘beautiful’ encounter.
Arteta remarked, “You can see his fingerprints already in how he wants to play. He has been very clear and very successful with Sporting. And the way he was playing. He has brought new energy, but we will focus on ourselves. We are on a good run and have good momentum again, it will be a big and beautiful match against Manchester United,” said Mikel Arteta.
With skipper Martin Odegaard returning to the squad, Arsenal has regained its form following the November international break. The Gunners achieved a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, a 5-1 triumph against Sporting CP, and a 5-2 win against West Ham last Saturday, positioning them second in the Premier League, trailing league leaders Liverpool by nine points.
A key player in Arsenal's resurgence has been Bukayo Saka, who has displayed exceptional form this season.
The 23-year-old winger is leading the league with 10 assists and has also scored five goals. Arteta praised the young forward, stating, “In terms of the numbers, yes. We see a shift from Bukayo every single year. He's more and more consistent. He can only improve and only get better. He wants more.”
Arteta also addressed the comparisons made between the English winger and a young Cristiano Ronaldo, noting, “Probably the way Cristiano started his career, no one expected in his first few years that he could do that. To play in a team that has that capacity to dominate is important as well,” he added.
