Manchester, March 31 (NationPress) Head coach Ruben Amorim of Manchester United is feeling positive about his team’s prospects for the remainder of the season, asserting that they have gained the confidence necessary to turn their performance around. The Red Devils are gearing up for a challenging match against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Wednesday.

United has suffered just one defeat in their last seven matches and secured a spot in the Europa League quarter-finals with a commanding 5-2 aggregate victory over Real Sociedad.

“You could say I am quite optimistic. I sense that the players are gaining confidence, and the energy around the team is transforming. However, I understand that this can shift with results. We are dedicated to sustaining this energy and are actively working on areas for improvement. Despite our victories, we recognize there’s still much to enhance. We are in a renewed state of confidence and are prepared for the final two months of the season,” stated Amorim during the pre-game press conference.

“I’m unsure where we will finish, but our sights are set high, and we aim to secure wins,” Amorim added.

Mason Mount recently returned to the squad at the King Power Stadium prior to the international break, serving as an unused substitute, and is likely to make his first appearance since December. Amorim's options have been further bolstered by the return of five players to training last week, including defenders Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Leny Yoro.

Although Amorim acknowledged that Shaw is not quite ready to return, he confirmed that both Maguire and Yoro are available for the match against the team currently placed third in the Premier League.

There’s additional good news as Kobbie Mainoo is nearing a return and Ayden Heaven's injury, sustained at Leicester, is not as severe as initially thought, with Amorim asserting he will be able to play again this season.

“Luke isn’t prepared yet. We are starting to conduct some drills with the team. However, we’re making progress with Luke; Mason is feeling better and was on the bench for the last match,” Amorim remarked.

“I believe Kobbie is almost back but not ready for this game. Jonny Evans is on the mend, and Ayden is also recovering. As for others, Licha is unavailable, and that covers it. Maguire is set to participate in the game. Yoro is also ready,” he concluded.
