New Delhi/Bhopal, April 25 (NationPress) Rashmika Sahgal from Delhi achieved a remarkable triple crown in the women’s 10m air pistol event during the two-day finale of the 23rd Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship held at the M.P. State Academy (MPSA) ranges in Bhopal on Friday. This prestigious national competition features elite shooters from across India and is conducted simultaneously in two locations: the pistol events in Bhopal and the rifle competitions at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi.

Rashmika, who is set to represent the junior Indian team at the Junior World Cup in Suhl next month, scored 239.9 in the women’s final, 243.2 in the junior women’s final, and 240.6 in the youth women’s final, successfully winning all three categories and achieving an extraordinary milestone. On Thursday, Naamya Kapoor of Delhi secured the junior women’s 25m pistol title with 34 hits in the final.

Additionally, on the same day, Divya T.S. from Karnataka won the women’s 25m pistol championship, first achieving a stellar 586 in qualifying and then hitting 31 in the 10-series final, which included five rapid-fire shots each. Divya competed against notable athletes such as Olympian and former Asian Games champion Rahi Sarnobat, who finished fourth.

In Delhi, the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) final was clinched by Akhil Sheoran of the Railways, a current world championship bronze medalist, scoring 462.5 to take the win, while Adriyan Karmakar from West Bengal earned the junior men’s 3P title.
