The pre-season gathering, held as the official countdown to Uttar Pradesh's most prestigious T20 franchise event, brought all six franchise captains together ahead of the tournament's 14 August opener.

'Our team has consistently performed brilliantly; we have played the finals for the last three seasons and won the title as well. There is no pressure of captaincy; we are built for challenges! My strategy is very straightforward: I tell every player in the team to give their 100% on the field without any pressure whenever they get a chance,' Rinku Singh said at the event.

One of the standout moments of the Captains' Meet was Dr. Kapoor's account of pacer Shubham Gautam, a product of the UPCA Speed Hunt. Gautam, who clocked speeds of 144–145 kmph, entered the auction at a base price of ₹2.5 lakh and was eventually sold for ₹21.5 lakh — a near 9x return on base price. 'This is the biggest success of this league,' Dr. Kapoor said, highlighting the league's role in surfacing grassroots talent without charging trial fees.

Lucknow Falcons skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar acknowledged his side's underwhelming past two campaigns and said the team had specifically addressed its weaknesses at the auction table. 'While IPL experience will be useful, T20 cricket is a game of 11 players. We will step onto the field creating a positive atmosphere to clinch the title this time,' he said.

Defending champions Kashi Rudras were represented by Bhupendra Yadav in the absence of skipper Karan Sharma, who was unwell. 'Our team's preparations are very strong thanks to the training camps running for the past several weeks. The result is not in our hands, but we will play our best cricket on the field,' Yadav affirmed.
