Gwalior, Aug 18 (NationPress) The Rohtak Rowdies surged up the leaderboard with a well-earned victory of 20-7 against Mumbai Muscle, while Kiraak Hyderabad maintained their commanding position at the top with a 14-11 win over MP Hathodas during the 14th day of the Pro Panja League Season 2 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Training Centre for Disability Sports.

Srinivas B.V., an Asian and World Champion, was honored as the player of the day for his remarkable performance in the Specially-Abled category. His teammate, Manoj Debnath, stunned the large audience by defeating Gwalior's Jogendar Yadav of Mumbai Muscle with impressive skill.

The first undercard match featured Rohtak Rowdies’ Billa Tajamul, who achieved a commanding 2-0 victory over Mumbai Muscle’s Ishan Kashyap in the 80kg category. Mumbai responded with Gautam Kumar narrowly winning 2-1 against Rahul Nayak in the 60kg bout. However, the Rowdies finished strong as Kunal Verma decisively defeated Rohit Puri Goswami with a 2-0 win in the 90kg contest, securing a lead before the Main Card.

Kiraak Hyderabad showcased their superiority in the Second Undercard fixture by sweeping MP Hathodas. Stewe Thomas defeated MP Hathodas’ Muzahid Shaikh with a score of 2-0 in the 70kg category, while Madhura KN followed with another 2-0 victory over Shivani Yadav in the 65kg division. The momentum persisted into the 55kg bout, where Rachna Jatav dominated Airi Kmenlang Shabong with a 2-0 victory, concluding a flawless undercard for Kiraak Hyderabad.

In the first Main Card, Rohtak Rowdies continued their strong performance. Srinivas B.V. set the tone with a resounding 10-0 victory over Krishna Sharma in the Specially-Abled category. Krishan made a daring decision to activate the challenger round early and secured a pin in just 0.64 seconds. Paarth Sonni earned crucial points for Mumbai Muscle by defeating Attar Sing 5-0 in the 100+ kg match, overcoming the defensive strategy of Attar.

In the following match, Manoj Debnath achieved a clean 5-0 victory over local favorite Jogendar Yadav in the 70kg category, showcasing his confidence with a flashpin in the first round followed by two more comfortable wins.

The final battles proved fruitful for Kiraak Hyderabad, who remain atop the standings. Amit Singh of Kiraak Hyderabad triumphed over Shaju AU of MP Hathodas in the 100kg match with a score of 3-1, winning the first two rounds before Shaju managed to snatch a point in the third round. However, Amit secured the final round to clinch the victory. Sachin Goyal of MP Hathodas continued his excellent form with a commanding 10-0 win against Dheeraj Singh of Kiraak Hyderabad in the 80kg category, executing three flashpins including one in just 0.20 seconds.

The closing match saw Naveen MV achieving a clean sweep over Akash Handique with a 5-0 victory, wrapping up the day for the table leaders Kiraak Hyderabad, who defeated MP Hathodas 14-11.
