New Delhi, Nov 8 (NationPress) – Hockey India has officially revealed the roster for the Indian Men’s Hockey Team set to compete in the 31st Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025, taking place in Ipoh, Malaysia, from November 23 to 30. Sanjay has been appointed as the captain for this esteemed invitational tournament.

The Indian team will kick off their journey against Korea on November 23, followed by a match against Belgium on November 24. The Men in Blue will then challenge the host nation, Malaysia, on November 26, and New Zealand on November 27, before wrapping up the league stage against Canada on November 29. The tournament format will be round-robin, with the top two teams advancing to the final on November 30.

The team includes goalkeepers Pawan and Mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar, while the defensive lineup consists of Poovanna Chandura Boby, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Yashdeep Siwach, Jugraj Singh, Amit Rohidas, and Captain Sanjay. The midfield will be led by Rajinder Singh, Raj Kumar Pal, Nilakanta Sharma, Rabichandra Singh Moirangthem, Vivek Sagar Prasad, and Mohammed Raheel Mouseen.

In the attack, India will rely on forwards Sukhjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra, Selvam Karthi, Aditya Arjun Lalage, Dilpreet Singh, and Abhishek. The standby players for the tournament include Varun Kumar, Vishnu Kant Singh, Hardik Singh, and Angad Bir Singh.

India last won the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in 2010 and finished as runners-up in 2019. With a focused squad and rigorous preparations, the Men in Blue aim to reclaim the coveted title in Ipoh.
