Guwahati, March 30 (NationPress) In a stunning display of power hitting, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored an explosive 52 runs off just 17 balls, leading the Rajasthan Royals to a commanding eight-wicket victory against the Chennai Super Kings at the ACA Stadium on Monday. This remarkable innings included a rapid fifty in merely 15 deliveries, marking it as the third-fastest in IPL history and setting the stage for RR's triumph.

Sooryavanshi's innings featured four boundaries and five sixes, helping RR to a robust 74 runs without loss during the power-play, effectively securing their lead early in the match.

Although he was dismissed shortly thereafter, Yashasvi Jaiswal (38 not out) and captain Riyan Parag (14 not out) skillfully wrapped up the chase with 47 balls remaining, showcasing a dominant performance that began with a disciplined bowling effort that restricted CSK to just 127 runs.

The match commenced with a bang as Matt Henry conceded 18 runs in his opening over, with Sooryavanshi pulling and driving for boundaries, including a dropped catch by Kartik Sharma on his first delivery. Meanwhile, Jaiswal contributed by glancing the ball to the fine leg for a boundary.

However, shortly after achieving his fifty, Sooryavanshi attempted a cover drive but was caught by Sarfaraz Khan at deep extra cover, resulting in his dismissal for 52.

Dhruv Jurel kept up the momentum with four quick boundaries before falling to Anshul Kamboj while trying to scoop a delivery. Parag contributed with a lofted shot and a reverse sweep for runs, while Jaiswal sealed the victory with a single, launching RR’s campaign with an emphatic win.
