Hyderabad, April 13 (NationPress) Rising stars Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain made a remarkable impact by taking a combined total of eight wickets, leading Sunrisers Hyderabad to halt the winning streak of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 with a decisive 53-run victory at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday.

In an astonishing display, Hinge, hailing from Nagpur, became the first bowler in IPL history to achieve a three-wicket haul in the opening over. He dismantled the formidable top order of RR, finishing with figures of 4-34. Meanwhile, Sakib, from Gopalganj in Bihar, maintained his composure to secure 4-24, sealing the win for his team.

After a dismal start at 9/5, Rajasthan Royals managed to recover through a resilient partnership of 118 runs between Donovan Ferreira (69) and Ravindra Jadeja (45)—the second-highest for the sixth wicket or lower in IPL history. Ultimately, RR was bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's strategic decision to debut two fresh bowlers in place of seasoned players Harshal Patel and Jaydev Unadkat paid off, marking their second win in five matches and elevating them to fourth place on the points table, rejuvenating their campaign.

Hinge made an immediate impact on his first delivery, dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a feat not achieved this season by bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Josh Hazlewood.
