Meerut, Feb 16 (NationPress) Tejas Dhingra from Beeya's Riding Facility triumphantly retained his title at the National Equestrian Championship (Show Jumping) 2024-25, held at Modi Equestrian Academy this past Sunday.
Dhingra, the current champion, attained victory with 16 points in the Championship Tour, surpassing joint runners-up Amar Sarin of Tarc Equestrian Centre and Ashray Butta of EGC Stables, who shared the second-place accolades.
In another highlight, Yashaan Zubin Khambatta from Tarc Equestrian Centre celebrated a double achievement by winning both the Novice and Medium Tours. Sehaj Singh Virk and Abhishek Chopra ended up sharing second place in the Medium Tour, while Narayan Singh joined Yashaan on the podium for the Novice Tour, securing the runner-up position after Yashaan impressively clinched both top spots.
The Preliminary Tour Individual Final on Saturday saw Avik Bhatia from Modi Equestrian Stables take home the gold medal with a skillful performance, clocking in at 31.02 seconds. Major Ritika Dahiya of Team ASC delivered a remarkable round to earn second place, while Dushyant Nagar completed the podium in third.
A remarkable highlight was the performance of Sravya Vohra, a 13-year-old and the youngest competitor in the championship, who finished in fifth. Her remarkable composure and flawless execution throughout the rounds earned her a special appreciation award from Modi Equestrian Academy and the Equestrian Federation of India.
