New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) Following an impressive performance in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions events earlier this week, Tilottama Sen maintained her stellar momentum at the National Selection Trials 1&2 Group A, securing the leading position in the 10m Air Rifle Women (ARW) Trial 1 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range near New Delhi on Thursday. In the men's event, Shahu Tushar Mane from Railways emerged victorious, while Vijayveer Sidhu topped the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol T2.

The Junior National Champion in ARW, Tilottama displayed exceptional poise under pressure to clinch first place in the ARW Selection Trial 1 Final. Despite entering the final as the eighth and final qualifier with a score of 630.8, she steadily rose to the top, finishing with a score of 253.4.

Railways' shooter Sonam Uttam Maskar, who qualified fifth with a score of 631.2, mounted a formidable challenge but settled for second place with 252.8 in the final. Nupur Kumrawat from Madhya Pradesh secured third place with a score of 230.5 (631.2).

Top qualifier Shruti from Haryana, who led the qualification round with 633.2, ended the final in fifth place with 187.9. Isha Anil Taksale from Maharashtra finished fourth with 209.0, while R Narmada Nithin concluded sixth with 166.2 after qualifying with 631. Mehuli Ghosh from Railways finished seventh with 145.3 (632.0), and Arya Rajesh Borse from Maharashtra rounded out the finalists with 123.7 (632.9).

Shahu Tushar Mane claimed gold in the 10m Air Rifle Men (ARM) T1 Final, finishing with 253.9. Mane, who qualified fifth with 632.6, built momentum throughout the final to secure first place.

Arshdeep Singh from Haryana took second place with 251.1, while Parth Rakesh Mane from Maharashtra finished third, scoring 230.5 after qualifying fourth with 632.9. Samarvir Singh from Haryana placed fourth with 209.2.

Olympian Arjun Babuta from Railways, who led the qualification with a score of 635.1, was unable to replicate that success in the final, finishing sixth.

Gajanan Shahadev Khandagale from Maharashtra, who qualified second with 633.3, ended up fifth with 187.7. Rudrankksh B. Patil from Maharashtra (144.5) and Surya Pratap Singh Banshtu from Himachal Pradesh (123.5) took seventh and eighth places, respectively.

Vijayveer Sidhu secured gold in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men T2 Final, hitting 31 targets to take top honors. National champion Suraj Sharma, who dominated the qualification round with 588-22x, had to settle for second after scoring 29 in the final.

Completing the podium was Udhayveer Sidhu from Punjab, who accumulated 25 hits in the final to claim third place. Udhayveer had qualified second with 585-20x, while his brother Vijayveer qualified in fifth with 579-19x.

World Championship silver medallist Anish Bhanwala, who qualified third with 582-24x, finished fifth in the final with 15 hits, trailing Omkar Singh from the Navy, who logged 18 hits. Ankur Goel from Uttarakhand (9) and Neeraj Kumar from the Army (5) completed the final lineup, while Pradeep Singh Shekhawat did not start the final after qualifying fourth with 581-19x.

The National Selection Trials 1&2 will continue tomorrow (January 23, 2026), featuring finals for the 10m Air Rifle Women (T2), 10m Air Rifle Men (T2), and the T2 finals of the 25m Pistol Women event.
