New Delhi, Jan 21 (NationPress) Tilottama Sen showcased her remarkable skills at the beginning of the season, achieving consecutive victories in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions during the National Selection Trials for Group A competitors at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range near New Delhi on Wednesday.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, who had placed third in T1 on Tuesday, clinched the top position in T2 of the men’s 50m Rifle 3P. Additionally, Manu Bhaker triumphed in T1 of the 25m Pistol Women event with an impressive performance in the finals.
Tilottama continued her winning streak in the 50m Rifle 3P event with a steady display in the finals, scoring 361.5 after 35 shots, outpacing Ayushi Podder from Railways, who finished second with 358.4. Her teammate Surabhi Bharadwaj Rapole secured third place with a score of 348.3.
Manini Kaushik, the T1 third-place finisher, ended up fourth with 336.3, while Ashi Chouksey (326.4), Nupur Kumrawat (315.6), Anjum Moudgil (305.0), and Vidarsa K. Vinod (302.8) rounded out the final rankings.
In the men’s T2, Aishwary achieved a decisive victory, scoring 359.7 in the final. Swapnil Kusale, a bronze medallist from Paris, took second with 357.7, while former 10m World Champion Rudraankksh Patil secured third with 347.5.
The T1 victor Niraj Kumar finished fourth with 336.3. Other finalists included Akshil Sheoran (326.5), Adriyan Karmakar (314.6), Nishan Budha (303.2), and Chain Singh (302.0).
Manu Bhaker excelled in the 25m Pistol event, securing the top position in T1 finals with a score of 37, outstripping Vibhuti Bhatia from Haryana, who scored 31. Divya T.S from Karnataka finished third with 28.
Tejaswani Singh ended in fourth place with 26 after a shootout with Vibhuti. Other finalists included Rahi Sarnobat (22), Chinki Yadav (17), and Rhythm Sangwan (12). Esha Singh did not participate in the finals despite qualifying in the top eight.
The 10m Air Rifle T1 finals for both men and women are scheduled for Thursday, along with the T2 finals of the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol for men.
