Dehradun, June 29 (NationPress) Suruchi Inder Singh has showcased her outstanding skills this season, claiming the top position in both the final and qualification rounds of the T3 10m Pistol Women's event during the National Selection Trials 3 & 4 (Rifle & Pistol) for Group ‘A’ athletes at the Trishul Shooting Range, Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur.
The Navy’s marksman Niraj Kumar secured a double victory in the 50m 3 Positions Men's event, winning T4, while Samrat Rana narrowly defeated Saurabh Chaudhary to clinch the title in the 10m Air Pistol Men’s T3 final.
In a highly competitive final, Suruchi scored 245.6, edging out Manu Bhaker who finished with 244.5. Rahi Sarnobat took third place with a score of 223.1. Esha Singh, Pranjali Prashant Dhumal, Simranpreet Kaur Brar, Priya Muralidhar, and Sakshi Anil Suryavanshi completed the top eight placements.
Suruchi's dominance continued in the qualification round, where she scored 585, surpassing Esha Singh by four points. Rahi (580), Manu (578-20x), Priya (578-17x), Pranjali (576), Sakshi (574-18x), and Simranpreet (574-15x) followed in the rankings.
In the day’s first final, Samrat Rana surged ahead with a final shot of 10.5, while Saurabh managed only 9.6. Ultimately, Samrat secured a score of 241.7, with Saurabh close behind at 241.5. Aditya Malra finished third with 217.8.
Earlier, Navy’s Aakash Bharadwaj topped the qualification with a score of 584, while Samrat, Rajan Tomar, and Saurabh all shot 582 but ranked second, third, and fourth based on inner 10s. Positions five to seven were also determined by inner 10s after Kamaljeet, Aditya Malra, and Amanpreet Singh all recorded 581. Vikash Kumar secured the last finals spot due to the highest number of inner 10s among shooters scoring 580.
Niraj Kumar demonstrated exceptional skill in the 50m 3P Men’s final, achieving back-to-back trial victories. He scored 463, outpacing Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar by two points. World Championship medalist Akhil Sheoran took third with 448.8, while Paris Olympics bronze medalist Swapnil Suresh Kusale was fourth with 438.4. Goldi Gurjar (426.4), Nikhil Tanwar (415.3), Babu Singh Panwar (404.7), and Hemant Bhicher (403.1) completed the top eight.
Aishwary had topped qualification with an impressive score of 595-35x, with Niraj following closely at 592-32x. Nikhil Tanwar came in third with 591-34x, while Swapnil followed with 590-34x and Akhil scored 589-32x. Goldi Gurjar (588-31x), Babu Singh (588-30x), and Hemant (587-29x) rounded out the top eight.
