The championship was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, during an impressive opening ceremony that attracted senior officials, coaches, athletes, and a lively audience.

The inaugural day featured thrilling contests across various weight classes. In the Free Style division, Delhi showcased its strength with Ankush and Sagar winning gold in the 57 Kg and 70 Kg classes, respectively. Sachin from Haryana claimed gold in the 86 Kg class, while Jaspooran from Punjab excelled in the 125 Kg division.
