New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue was officially launched on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, by the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, alongside National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. This event represents a crucial initiative aimed at empowering the youth of India to take a proactive role in nation-building.
The event also welcomed Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, and Youth Affairs Secretary Pallavi Jain Govil.
In his address to the young attendees, Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the extensive scale and meticulous selection process of this initiative. He noted, “The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue attracted participation from nearly 50 lakh youth nationwide. From this pool, approximately 3 lakh talented youths were chosen to submit essays, which were evaluated by academia. Subsequently, 30,000 participants advanced to state-level presentations, culminating in the selection of 3,000 top candidates for this national platform.”
Commending the finalists, Mandaviya remarked, “Your dedication to Viksit Bharat and your innovative ideas are now poised to be presented before the Prime Minister of our nation. You have persevered to reach this point. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed immense faith in the youth of our country, recognizing their role in realizing a Viksit Bharat.”
Recalling the Prime Minister’s message to the youth, Mandaviya referred to the pledge taken at the Red Fort, where PM Modi reaffirmed the commitment to developing India.
“To achieve Viksit Bharat, every citizen, especially the youth, must embrace their responsibilities. We will carry out our duties with the motto of ‘Nation First’,” he stated.
In his comments, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval emphasized the significance of decision-making in leadership and nation-building.
He noted, “A shared aspect of my youth and my current self is the capacity to make decisions. Whether you acknowledge it or not, decision-making is ever-present. Youth engage in both minor and major decisions daily, and as you mature, these minor choices accumulate into significant ones.”
Expressing optimism for India’s future, Doval said, “India is set to develop. Given the advancements made under Prime Minister Modi, we are on the brink of achieving developed nation status. The pressing question is — who will steer the nation towards that development? If you aspire to be leaders on the journey to Viksit Bharat, begin making decisions now, with a vision that extends beyond the present.”
He also encouraged the youth to contribute selflessly to the nation, stating, “To benefit the country, engage in meaningful work. Avoid seeking publicity. Whatever you undertake, do it with excellence and the singular goal of enhancing our nation.”
This dialogue is designed to establish a robust platform for young leaders to share their ideas, leadership skills, and vision in pursuit of the Viksit Bharat objective, reinforcing the belief that India's youth are pivotal in the nation's transformation.
