The teams have been segmented into four groups of five, with the top two from each advancing to the Super Eights, where placements will follow pre-defined seedings.

Should Pakistan reach the semi-finals, Colombo's R. Premadasa Stadium will step in as the venue for Semi-Final 1 instead of Kolkata. If they make it to the final, Colombo will host the grand event; otherwise, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will take the stage.

If India and Pakistan clash in the semi-finals, that encounter will happen in Colombo, while Mumbai will host Semi-Final 2 featuring India against any non-Pakistan team.
