Melbourne, Dec 28 (NationPress) Australia's backup all-rounder Beau Webster and wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis have been released from the national squad to participate in the Big Bash League prior to the upcoming Sydney Test.
Following the conclusion of the Boxing Day Ashes Test at the MCG, which wrapped up in just two days, Australian players have been given a seven-day respite until the New Year’s match in Sydney.
Webster is set to play for the Hobart Hurricanes against the Melbourne Renegades on Monday.
Inglis, who was sidelined during the fast-paced Boxing Day Test, will also make his return to the BBL, competing for the Perth Scorchers in their game against the Sydney Thunder at ENGIE Stadium on Tuesday, just ahead of the fifth and final Ashes Test.
