London, Feb 6 (NationPress) Fulham has brought back winger Willian for the remainder of the season, just six months after his departure from the club.

Having made a significant impact during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons at Craven Cottage, the winger is now returning to SW6 for his third stint, joining as a free agent after leaving Olympiakos in December. He will don the number 22 jersey.

“I’m truly thrilled to be back here. This is an excellent opportunity to represent this Club again, and I am fully driven to get onto the pitch and achieve success for this Club,” said Willian in a statement.

“I’m completely content, my family is happy. We are excited to return, and I believe we can accomplish great things until the season concludes. I can hardly wait to begin with my teammates and make an impact on the pitch.”

Initially signing with the Whites on September 1, 2022, Willian contributed to the team finishing in the upper half after their return to the Premier League and won the Goal of the Season award for his remarkable strike against Nottingham Forest.

After his one-year contract ended, the talented forward agreed to extend his stay for another 12 months at the Cottage, aiding in another strong mid-table finish, and bringing his total contributions for the Club to 17 (10 goals and 7 assists) across 67 appearances.

“I am delighted to welcome Willian back to Fulham Football Club! He had a fantastic impact during his previous tenure, and he’s eager to reunite with Marco again. Our supporters and everyone at the Club are thrilled that he has returned to us for the rest of the season,” stated Tony Khan, Fulham Director of Football Operations.
