Ghaziabad, May 31 (NationPress) Spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Saturday launched a fierce critique of the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, asserting that he enjoys substantial popularity in Pakistan and would secure a significant victory if he were to run for elections there.
This statement followed the circulation of several viral videos featuring Rahul Gandhi in Pakistan.
In a conversation with IANS, Acharya Pramod Krishnam remarked: “Should Rahul Gandhi choose to contest elections from Pakistan, he would triumph with a considerable majority. Rahul Gandhi appears skeptical of Indian leaders and institutions. While the Indian Army asserts that it has responded adequately to Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi seeks evidence. Conversely, he readily believes statements from Pakistani leaders. This is why he is so well-liked in Pakistan, and it seems he harbors a profound affection for the country.”
Krishnam also commented on Rahul Gandhi’s recent inquiries regarding the government’s handling of Operation Sindoor, in which the Congress leader posed questions to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar about the number of Indian aircraft lost during the operation.
“Rahul Gandhi has made it a routine to challenge the Indian Army, the Parliament, and the Constitution,” he continued.
“When a child strays, there is usually hope for correction. However, despite his prestigious lineage, Rahul Gandhi seems thoroughly spoiled. I see little chance for him to improve. Yet, I advise him to refrain from speaking against the nation.”
On Congress leaders equating Prime Minister Narendra Modi with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Krishnam stated, “Indira Gandhi was an immensely popular leader who taught Pakistan a lesson. However, this nation has never witnessed a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi. Today, India garners global respect and fear due to his leadership.”
Addressing the recent uproar surrounding Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai sharing photographs of Prime Minister Modi’s family, Acharya Pramod Krishnam asserted that Rai is merely a pawn, with Rahul Gandhi being the true orchestrator of such actions.
“For Rahul Gandhi, democracy is only alive when he wins elections; it is dead when he loses. If the Supreme Court rules in his favor, it is seen as a positive outcome. Rahul Gandhi is an unusual individual,” he conveyed to IANS.
When asked if the commendations of Prime Minister Modi by Congress leaders Salman Khurshid and Shashi Tharoor could incite internal strife within the party, especially after they praised the government for the abrogation of Article 370 and for its robust response to Pakistan, Krishnam opted not to directly comment on potential dissent.
“I do not wish to speculate whether a rebellion has commenced in Congress; however, it is evident that the Prime Minister is not being lauded merely because Congress leaders say so. The reality is clear. Had Narendra Modi not served as Prime Minister, there would have been no Ram Temple, no abolition of Triple Talaq, and no decisive action against Pakistan. A leader who has dedicated his life to national interests merits recognition,” he concluded.
