Adivi Sesh Reveals What Keeps Him Humble: Insights on ‘Babu Giri’
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 29 (NationPress) Actor, director, and writer Adivi Sesh is preparing for the debut of his upcoming movie ‘Dacoit’, and he recently shared insights about what keeps him grounded as both an actor and a storyteller.
In an interview with IANS during the promotional activities for ‘Dacoit’, he reflected on how narrating his films to fellow actors and coordinating their schedules is a profoundly humbling experience.
Adivi remarked, “It's incredibly grounding to present your film to actors who sometimes are just day players, character actors who join for a limited time. You find yourself chasing after them, reaching out for their availability, even if their role is just for a couple of days. It’s a humbling position to be the one across the table trying to share your vision, while they're saying they don't have time.”
He further added, “I don't believe I've ever had the chance to indulge in ‘Babu Giri’—to say, ‘Hey, I’m in my vanity van. Just let me know; I’ll be busy working out until then.’ That opportunity has never come my way.”
Previously, Adivi has articulated his views on the strength of Telugu cinema, noting that, unlike other Indian film industries, it retains a strong emotional essence because it is not dominated by corporate entities.
When asked what distinguishes Telugu cinema from other Indian film industries, he explained, “I believe it’s the emotional ownership. Let me clarify: Telugu cinema is still produced by individual producers. Some may have mortgaged their homes to finance a film, while others might have sold land or turned to film production after finding success in real estate or medicine. These are the individuals behind even our INR 300, 400, or 500 crore films.”
In the meantime, ‘Dacoit’, produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, is slated for release in theaters on April 10, 2026.
