Kabul, Sep 15 (NationPress) Afghan security forces have successfully confiscated a significant cache of firearms and ammunition in southern Kandahar province, as reported by the Ministry of National Defence on Monday.

Based on intelligence reports and a credible tip-off, the security personnel executed a search operation along the Spin Boldak-Kandahar route. This operation led to the discovery of an M4 machine gun, AK-47 rifles, handguns, hand grenades, and a substantial quantity of ammunition, along with various military supplies, the statement elaborated, according to Xinhua News Agency.
