Ahmedabad, July 9 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Wednesday that he plans to embrace natural farming following his retirement from public office. He expressed his intention to dedicate significant time to studying Hindu scriptures, such as the Vedas and Upanishads.
During his speech at the 'Sahkar Samvaad' event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Home Minister provided insight into his future endeavors. He stated that after stepping away from his political career, he aims to spend his time delving into the Vedas, Upanishads, and engaging in natural farming.
Natural farming, often referred to as organic farming, employs science-based methods that offer numerous advantages, he noted.
Amit Shah remarked, "Wheat cultivated with chemical fertilizers can lead to various health problems, including lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid issues, and even severe illnesses like cancer."
He continued, "Adopting natural farming not only promotes a disease-free body but also lessens reliance on medications."
Additionally, he highlighted that natural farming boosts agricultural output, sharing his personal experience of achieving a 1.5-fold increase in crop yield on his own land.
Previously, the Home Minister shared his journey of weight loss and how his lifestyle changes, including proper nutrition, hydration, exercise, and sufficient rest, led to significant health improvements.
On World Liver Day, he stated, "Since May 2019, I have undergone a remarkable transformation. By maintaining a balanced lifestyle with adequate sleep, clean water, nutritious food, and physical activity, I have liberated myself from allopathic medicines over the past 4.5 years."
He encouraged the youth to adopt a routine of two hours of physical activity and six hours of sleep to promote good health, reminding them they have another 40-50 years to live and contribute to the nation's advancement.
