Mumbai, December 3 (NationPress) Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan took a moment during his late-night reflections on his blog to ponder the essence of life.
The iconic star shared a collection of photographs from the ongoing season of the quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.
He remarked, “Ultimately, life transforms into a collection of still images,” a statement he left open to interpretation. This sentiment follows the recent loss of his close friend and fellow star, Dharmendra.
Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, with his 90th birthday approaching on December 8.
In light of Dharmendra’s death, Big B, who starred alongside him in classics like “Sholay” (1975), “Chupke Chupke” (1975), “Ram Balram” (1980), “Naseeb” (1981), “The Burning Train” (1980), and “Hum Kaun Hai?” (1983), expressed his sorrow with a touching tribute.
Amitabh conveyed his feelings of loss in a heartfelt message: “Another valiant giant has departed... leaving behind a silence filled with an unbearable sound... Dharam ji... the epitome of greatness, remembered not only for his physical presence but also for the generosity of his heart and its charming simplicity...”
“He carried with him the essence of his Punjab village and remained authentic throughout his illustrious career, in an industry that saw immense changes every decade... The industry transformed, but he remained constant... his smile, charm, and warmth touched everyone around him. Such qualities are rare in our profession... the atmosphere feels empty... a void that will always linger... prayers,” added Big B.
Kaun Banega Crorepati is the official Hindi version of the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” franchise, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan throughout its run, except for the third season when Shah Rukh Khan took over.
