Andhra Pradesh Secures Rs 4 Lakh Crore Investment, Says CM Chandrababu

Amaravati, Dec 11 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, stated on Wednesday that the state has successfully attracted Rs 4 lakh crore in investments, which will lead to the creation of more than four lakh jobs.

He further mentioned that his administration has mobilized Rs 31,000 crore for the enhancement of the capital city, Amaravati.

During a gathering with department heads and district collectors, he revealed that the Polavaram project is scheduled for completion by 2027.

Reflecting on the achievements of his government over the past six months, he reported that pensions are being distributed to over 64 lakh beneficiaries at an annual cost of Rs 33,000 crore, and 40 lakh cooking gas cylinders have been provided to underprivileged families under the Deepam-2 scheme.

Chandrababu Naidu shared that so far, 199 Anna canteens have been established, offering subsidized meals to those in need. He noted the success of the Parent-Teacher meetings, which saw participation from 1.2 crore individuals across 43,000 schools.

The Chief Minister also announced that over 16,000 teacher vacancies will soon be filled through the Mega DSC (District Selection Committee).

He emphasized that his government is focused on transforming Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge society, expressing optimism that the partnership between Google and the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) will lead to significant advancements in governance.

Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that seven white papers have been published regarding the current condition of the state, and 20 new policies have been implemented.

He indicated that the Land Titling Act was repealed due to over 60 percent of complaints from the public being related to land disputes.

He mentioned that the Land Grabbing Prohibition Act has been introduced to effectively tackle such issues.

He also asserted that food grain procurement is progressing swiftly and expressed confidence that all roads in the state would be restored by Sankranthi.

Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 will be presented on December 13, urging district collectors to aim for a growth rate of 50 percent.

He reiterated that every bureaucrat should act as a public servant, emphasizing that 'People First' is the guiding principle of his government, and coined the slogan 'healthy-wealthy-happy'.

During the meeting at the State Secretariat with departmental heads and district collectors, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of addressing public concerns from a humanistic perspective.

He instructed them to prioritize understanding and resolving the issues faced by the public based on their feedback.

He criticized the previous administration for leaving a staggering debt of over Rs 10 lakh crore and for misusing funds intended for the coming years.

"We have rescued the state from a situation where it could not even pay government salaries and are progressing toward welfare and development," he stated.

Chandrababu Naidu remarked that various mafias have infiltrated areas such as land grabbing, liquor, sand looting, ganja cultivation, drug smuggling, and the diversion of ration rice, adding that the responsibility for eliminating these issues now rests with the district collectors.

All Cabinet Ministers and the Chief Secretary were present during the meeting.
