Chandigarh, July 31 (NationPress) Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij stated on Thursday that he "is the senior-most legislator and is responsible for overseeing the entirety of Haryana".
"I will soon embark on a comprehensive state tour. My agenda includes meeting both new and veteran party workers to ensure their well-being," he informed the press.
Minister Vij has garnered popularity among his supporters for his forthrightness.
He is well-known for addressing lethargic officials during meetings.
Issuing a firm caution to officers, the Minister asserted, "I will also be monitoring those officials who are negligent in implementing government schemes."
This statement was in response to inquiries from the media regarding this week's BJP Legislative Party meeting, where constituencies were designated to MLAs and Ministers, but the name of seven-time MLA Vij was notably absent from the list.
"As the most senior MLA, I have the responsibility to oversee all of Haryana, while other legislators have been assigned only one constituency each. I have successfully won the state Assembly election seven times, and I will soon start touring all of Haryana. I will connect with party workers at various sites and assess their welfare. Additionally, I will scrutinize those officers who are not executing the government's initiatives," remarked Minister Vij.
In reply to a question about the Opposition's claims in Parliament during the debate on "Operation Mahadev" and "Shiv Shakti", where they accused the Army of being biased, the Minister responded, "The Opposition stands against all traditions and beliefs of Hindustan."
Offering advice to the Opposition, Minister Vij noted, "They (Opposition) should recognize that every unit of our Army has temples and gurdwaras. They must also understand that when our courageous soldiers advance toward the enemy, they exclaim 'Jai Bajrang Bali!' The Opposition must realize that numerous military operations in our nation have been named after Hindu traditions or Indian cultural identities."
Criticizing the Opposition further, the Minister stated, "The Opposition should feel ashamed. Should we name our operations after foreign missiles or other external references? The Opposition has completely diverged from pressing issues. Under the guise of political opposition to the Prime Minister, they are now opposing the nation itself. They are even targeting our national beliefs, centers of faith, and religious traditions."
