On Tuesday, the acclaimed director took to Instagram, sharing a detailed message aimed at Vijay Subramaniam, Founder & Group CEO of Collective Artists Network. Anurag expressed concern that Vijay, known for advocating for artists, is circumventing the very community he represents to chase profits while excluding them from the revenue-generating mechanisms of the entertainment sector.
He stated, “Congratulations @vijaysubramaniam84. Here is the individual leading the @lifeatcollectiveartistsnetwork, which is meant to represent artists, writers, directors, yet now is producing a film crafted by AI. This is quite a departure from safeguarding and representing the interests of creators. Ultimately, all these agencies care about is making a profit off you, and as they keep selecting less than ideal projects for you, they are resorting to AI.”
