Chennai, July 10 (NationPress) Renowned actress Anushka Shetty from Telugu cinema has expressed her profound gratitude to her guru, Bharat Thakur, in a touching post for Guru Purnima.

She also acknowledged her parents, family, and everyone who has contributed to her growth as an individual during this special occasion.

On the professional front, Anushka Shetty is set to star in the eagerly awaited action thriller 'Ghaati', directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.

The film features Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu alongside Anushka Shetty in leading roles and was initially slated for release on July 11, but the producers have recently postponed its debut.

UV Creations, one of the film's production companies, shared a heartfelt note titled, "A Note from the Heart of Ghaati" on their social media.

In the statement, they remarked, "Cinema is a living river... sometimes it rushes, sometimes it pauses to gain depth. Ghaati is not merely a film; it's a mountain echo, a wild breeze, a tale etched from stone and soil.

Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, 'Ghaati' marks the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish, following their successful film 'Vedam'.

Notably, this will be Anushka's fourth project with UV Creations.

The filmmakers have revealed that Vikram Prabhu portrays the male protagonist, Desi Raju.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, Vikram Prabhu mentioned that he lost eight kilos for his character.

The tagline, 'Victim, Criminal, Legend', hints at the film's distinctive narrative, exploring the delicate balance between good and evil, survival, and morality.

'Ghaati' promises an intense journey into the darker aspects of human nature, where characters confront their pasts, make difficult decisions, and ultimately seek redemption.

Cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani will visualize the world of 'Ghaati' with stunning visuals, while Nagavelli Vidya Sagar's music will enhance its profound mood.

Art direction is led by National Award winner Thota Tharrani, with editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy. With sharp dialogues penned by Sai Madhav Burra, the film is set to captivate audiences with its compelling storytelling.
