Chennai, July 5 (NationPress) The release of director Krish Jagarlamudi's much-anticipated action thriller 'Ghaati', starring Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu in pivotal roles, has been delayed, as announced by the production team on Saturday.
The film was originally set to debut on July 11 this year.
On their social media platforms, UV Creations, one of the film's production houses, shared a heartfelt message titled, 'A Note from the Heart of Ghaati'.
In the statement, they noted, "Cinema is a living river... sometimes it rushes forward, sometimes it pauses to gather depth. Ghaati is not merely a film; it's an echo from the mountains, a wild breeze, a narrative shaped from stone and soil.
"To honor every frame, every breath, we have chosen to extend its journey a little longer in our embrace. We believe that this added wait will enrich the experience, making it deeper, more intense, and truly unforgettable.
"Thank you for your love, your patience, and for taking these winding paths with us. Until the mountains call once more... we remain yours, Team Ghaati."
This marks the second postponement for the film's release. Initially, it was slated for April 18 this year. However, the producers opted to delay it.
In June, the team had communicated that the film would be released on July 11, but they have now announced another delay.
Presented by UV Creations and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, 'Ghaati' represents the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish, following the success of their hit film 'Vedam'.
Interestingly, this film marks Anushka's fourth project with UV Creations.
The producers have revealed that Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu portrays the lead character, Desi Raju.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Vikram Prabhu mentioned that he shed eight kilos for his role in this film.
The tagline 'Victim, Criminal, Legend' highlights the film’s intriguing narrative, exploring the delicate boundaries between good and evil, survival and ethics.
'Ghaati' promises an intense exploration into the darker facets of human nature, where characters must confront their pasts, make challenging choices, and ultimately seek redemption.
Cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani will vividly portray the world of 'Ghaati' with his striking visuals, while Nagavelli Vidya Sagar’s music aims to amplify its intense atmosphere.
Art direction is handled by National Award winner Thota Tharrani, with editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy. With sharp dialogues penned by Sai Madhav Burra, the film is set to captivate audiences with its compelling storytelling.
