New Delhi, Nov 26 (NationPress) The woman from Arunachal Pradesh who was subjected to harassment by Chinese officials at the Shanghai airport has delivered a powerful rebuttal to online trolls. She emphasized that the actions of the Indian government are aimed at upholding the dignity of all Indians, not just her.
Pema Wang Thongdok previously revealed that she was held for 18 hours by Chinese immigration during what should have been a brief three-hour layover while she was en route from London to Japan on November 21.
She stated that the officials refused to acknowledge her Indian passport, insisting that her birthplace, Arunachal Pradesh, is "part of China".
Thongdok expressed her gratitude to those who supported her, while also addressing those who tried to mock her over the incident.
"I appreciate everyone who has voiced support for this diplomatic matter. While I’m new to this platform and not very active on X, it’s due to my demanding full-time role in financial services that leaves me little time to respond to trolls," she shared on X.

"Chinese authorities have yet to provide any credible justification for their actions, which violate established international air travel norms and their own visa-free transit policy," Jaiswal asserted, reaffirming India's position that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.
"This is a fact that cannot be disputed. No amount of denial or misrepresentation by China can change this reality," he stated.
